Recently the National Symposium on Accounting (SNAV) 8 and the Vocational Accounting Olympiad (OAV) 3 was held at the Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya (Polsri) Palembang, South Sumatra. The theme of this year event is "Professional Accountant Strategy to Deal with Accounting Disruption in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0" This symposium was very special because it was attended by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ak, Ph.D as the Keynote Speaker.
The 2nd Keynote Speaker was Syailendra Ogan, a finance director at PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan TBK Building. The material of his speech is in accordance with the theme of industrial technology 4.0, in a form of vocational discussion forums with the theme "Formulation of the Indonesian Inclusion Framework 4.0 and MEME on the Vocational Accounting curriculum".
As participant speakers from Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) are Nikmatuniayah, SE. MSi.Att. , Mohamad Hasanuddin, SE. MSi. Akt, and Jati Handayani, SE.MSI. While the accounting olympiad participants are as follows: Aprilia Annisa Putri (AK 2 A), Audia Nur Safitri (AM 1 A), and Mar'atus Sholihah (AM 2 B).
Nikmatuniayah, Polines accounting lecturer won rank 3rd in Best Article, SNAV 8. "Thank God, we give thanks to Allah SWT," said Nikmatuniayah. Her article was titled "Islamic Work Ethics of Accountant in Organizational Change (Case Study of Amil Zakat Institution in Central Java)".
This study aims to prove the influence of Islamic work ethics in terms of cognitive abilities, affective components, and behavioral components. The results showed that the Islamic work ethic in employees around accounting environment that was viewed from the cognitive, affective, and behavioral components has positively influence changes in accounting.
