• Kitano Foundation Japan Gives Out Scholarships to Polines Students
    This is the fourth time that the company awarding scholarships to Polines Students. The ceremony was attended by the management of Kitano Foundation Japan and PT Indonesia Stanley Electric (ISE). Present on this event, Mr. Shinji Jo (Managing Director of the Kitano Foundation), Mr. Makoto Ogawa (President Director of PT ISE), Suwanto (Director of PT ISE) and Heroica Budi (Manager of HRD ISE).
  • Polines - JSVIAT China Establishes Cooperation
    Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) continues to collaborate with various campuses abroad. This time the collaboration was established with the Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology (JSVIAT) of China. Marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between institutions by Ir. Supriyadi, MT (Polines Director) with Professor Sun Jin (JSVIAT Chairman) in the Director's Meeting Room, Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang, Wednesday (6/19). Also present at this event were the leaders of two institutions.
  • Polines Tops 4 Best Vocational Higher Education in 2019
    The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) of the Republic of Indonesia, again, announced the clustering of Indonesian higher education institutions in 2019 at Building D Kemenristekdikti, Senayan, Jakarta, recently. This clustering was carried out to map Indonesian higher education institutions under the auspices of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to improve the quality of higher education as well as to become the basis for Kemenristekdikti to provide policies according to the capacity of each of the higher education clusters.

    Politeknik Negeri Semarang Director (Polines) Supriyadi, received the 2019 Science and Technology award at the 24th National Technology Awakening Day (Harteknas) in Bali, Wednesday (28/8). The award, called the Widyapadhi Award, was received directly by the Director of Polines from the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir.

Mechanical Engineering Students of Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) Hermansyah successfully won 2nd place in National Selection of the 13th Asean Skill Competition (ASC) 2019 in Mechanical Engineering CAD. The selection took place at Binus University on 20-22 August 2019 Jakarta and was organized by the Department of Manpower and Transmigration. National level winners will take part in a training camp for the ASC competition in Singapore in July 2020.

Asean Skill Competition (ASC) or ASEAN World Skills is a skill competition between ASEAN countries which is held once every two years on an even year. The 13th ASC in Singapore will be held on 25 to 30 July 2020. The steps to go to Singapore require a process of regional selection (selekda), national selection (seleknas) and training camps.

CAD materials for Mechanical Engineering competition with Autodesk Inventor software include session 1 Mechanical Fabrication (5 hours); session 2 Mechanical Assembly (5 hours); and session 3 Reverse Engineering (4 hours).

Dr. Ir. Suharto, M.Pd., as the accompanying lecturer said that there were 3 (three) Polines students who took part in the national selection (seleknas) in Jakarta and the one who succeeded in winning 2nd place was Hermansyah. Participation in ASC Seleknas is an important and beneficial experience for students and for Polines. The application of engineering software in the field of mechanical engineering can contribute to increasing efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and competitiveness", he said.
