• Kitano Foundation Japan Gives Out Scholarships to Polines Students
    This is the fourth time that the company awarding scholarships to Polines Students. The ceremony was attended by the management of Kitano Foundation Japan and PT Indonesia Stanley Electric (ISE). Present on this event, Mr. Shinji Jo (Managing Director of the Kitano Foundation), Mr. Makoto Ogawa (President Director of PT ISE), Suwanto (Director of PT ISE) and Heroica Budi (Manager of HRD ISE).
  • Polines - JSVIAT China Establishes Cooperation
    Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) continues to collaborate with various campuses abroad. This time the collaboration was established with the Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology (JSVIAT) of China. Marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between institutions by Ir. Supriyadi, MT (Polines Director) with Professor Sun Jin (JSVIAT Chairman) in the Director's Meeting Room, Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang, Wednesday (6/19). Also present at this event were the leaders of two institutions.
  • Polines Tops 4 Best Vocational Higher Education in 2019
    The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) of the Republic of Indonesia, again, announced the clustering of Indonesian higher education institutions in 2019 at Building D Kemenristekdikti, Senayan, Jakarta, recently. This clustering was carried out to map Indonesian higher education institutions under the auspices of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to improve the quality of higher education as well as to become the basis for Kemenristekdikti to provide policies according to the capacity of each of the higher education clusters.

    Politeknik Negeri Semarang Director (Polines) Supriyadi, received the 2019 Science and Technology award at the 24th National Technology Awakening Day (Harteknas) in Bali, Wednesday (28/8). The award, called the Widyapadhi Award, was received directly by the Director of Polines from the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir.

In order to improve the development and quality of human resources at universities in the country, the Directorate General of Resources on Science and Technology and Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education re-opened the World Class Professor (WCP) program, a program that invited world-class professors, both from within and outside the country to become visiting professors at various Indonesian universities. The WCP program will be a tool for Indonesian researchers to collaborate in research and publications with world-class professors.

According to the person in charge of the WCP program in Polines, Dr. Kurnianingsih, this year, Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) became the only polytechnic institution that passed the selection to hold the WCP program. "We are the only polytechnics who passed the selection," she said. In the WCP program that took place 8 - July 2019, Polines invited Prof. Anton Satria Prabuwono, a professor of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia who is also an expert in the fields of Machine Vision, Intellegent Robotics and Autonomous Systems, to become visiting professor.

In this WCP series, Thursday (11/7) in the Director's Meeting Room, Polines campus, Tembalang, Semarang, an International Research and Publication Methodology Seminar was held. The event was attended by lecturers from various study programs in Polines. While the speakers presented were, Prof. Anton Satria Prabuwono (King Abdulaziz University), Dr. Amin Suharjono, Dr. Yusuf Dewantoro Herlambang (Polines).
