• Kitano Foundation Japan Gives Out Scholarships to Polines Students
    This is the fourth time that the company awarding scholarships to Polines Students. The ceremony was attended by the management of Kitano Foundation Japan and PT Indonesia Stanley Electric (ISE). This time the collaboration was established with the Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology (JSVIAT) of China.     The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) of the Republic of Indonesia, again, announced the clustering of Indonesian higher education institutions in 2019 at Building D Kemenristekdikti, Senayan, Jakarta, recently. This clustering was carried out to map Indonesian higher education institutions under the auspices of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to improve the quality of higher education as well as to become the basis for Kemenristekdikti to provide policies according to the capacity of each of the higher education clusters.

    Politeknik Negeri Semarang Director (Polines) Supriyadi, received the 2019 Science and Technology award at the 24th National Technology Awakening Day (Harteknas) in Bali, Wednesday (28/8). The award, called the Widyapadhi Award, was received directly by the Director of Polines from the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir.

Piles of material suspected to be B3 waste (hazardous and toxic material) were found in Kemloko Hamlet, Jotangan Village, Mojosari District, Mojokerto Regency. The pile of material suspected to be waste from coal with the type of bottom ash and fly ash was discovered first by Gangsar Aji Santoso, Friday (05/31/2019). Gangsar added, the effect that may occur if people exposed by bottom ash is that they will experience itching on the skin. If rain comes and the water absorbs the material, it will pollute the flow of water around and can not be consumed (jatimnow.com, 2019).

Recently the National Symposium on Accounting (SNAV) 8 and the Vocational Accounting Olympiad (OAV) 3 was held at the Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya (Polsri) Palembang, South Sumatra. The theme of this year event is "Professional Accountant Strategy to Deal with Accounting Disruption in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0" This symposium was very special because it was attended by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ak, Ph.D as the Keynote Speaker.

Intending to improve the welfare of pond farmers, the Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) Student Creativity Program (PKM) Team took the initiative to create an IoT-based pond water quality monitoring tool named "Mantau Mbak". In making Mantau Mbak, PKM Polines Team consisting of Maulana Widi Nurhidayat, Winstar Aji Mabrur, Refin Ananda Putra with Ilham Sayekti as the advisor lecturer, collaborated with the farmer group "Salemba" in Mororejo Village, Kaliwungu, Kendal.

Another proud achievement of Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) student came from Anjas Dwi Prasetyo, a Mechanical Engineering student who won 1st place in the selection of the 13th Asean Skill Competition (ASC) in 2019 at the Central Java level in the field of Mechanical Engineering CAD. The selection event was held by the Central Java Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office which took place in the Hall of SMK Negeri 7 Semarang on 18-20 June 2019. The event was participated by representatives of districts / cities throughout Central Java.
